The Croatian Academy of Technical Sciences, established on January 19, 1993, with Prof. Dr. Sc. Vedran Mornar as its president, is a prestigious non-governmental, independent, non-partisan, and non-profit association. It comprises exceptional, experienced, and proven scientists in the technical and biotechnical fields. In 2009, the Academy was granted the status of a scientific organization, further solidifying its role in advancing technical sciences. 📜
The Academy’s core activities include:
📝 Research and development in technical sciences
📝 Working on projects of national importance, including those for ministries, state agencies, and economic entities
📝 Encouraging and organizing scientific work
📝 Preparing scientific studies, expertise, reports, and projects
📝 Discussing and presenting positions on current issues in science and the economy
📝 Organizing scientific meetings and publishing relevant publications
📝 Cooperating with academies both domestically and internationally
📝 Facilitating the transfer of knowledge.
Since October 2000, the Academy has been a member of the International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences (CAETS), based in Washington, USA. It also joined the European Council of Applied and Technical Sciences (Euro-CASE) in January 2005 and became a permanent member in May 2009.
As a supporting member, we are eager to contribute to the Academy’s mission through active participation in research, project collaborations, and the sharing of knowledge and expertise. This partnership perfectly aligns with our commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in the technical field.
